What is Kinetiq?

Kinetiq is a liquid staking protocol built on the Hyperliquid blockchain (HyperEVM), a Layer-1 blockchain optimized for high-performance DeFi applications. The platform allows users to stake HYPE tokens to receive kHYPE, a liquid staking token that can be used across various DeFi protocols while earning staking rewards. This ensures users maintain liquidity while participating in DeFi without locking up their assets.

Kinetiq raised $1.75 million from investors active in the Hyperliquid ecosystem, including Maven 11 and Pier Two.

Since its launch on July 15, 2025, the protocol has seen significant adoption, with over $470 million in HYPE staked—representing more than 3.3% of circulating HYPE. kHYPE has been integrated into major Hyperliquid money markets, with over $180 million in collateral deposited across platforms like Felix Protocol.

Kinetiq Airdrop Details

The Kinetiq airdrop operated through a points-based system called kPoints, which ran from July 15 to October 16, 2025. Users earned kPoints by staking HYPE tokens through Kinetiq to receive kHYPE liquid staking tokens.

• Distribution: 800,000 kPoints were distributed weekly every Thursday, with snapshots taken every Tuesday to determine allocations.

• Total kPoints: 12,000,000 kPoints were distributed, including an additional 1,600,000 kPoints for qualifying activity between October 14 and November 12, 2025.

Kinetiq identified and flagged addresses associated with sybil or malicious activity, redistributing their kPoints to legitimate users.
